As Zach Cregger’s Weapons continues to draw in cast members, another Cregger-related project is coming together. Titled Companion, the sci-fi thriller has just added three new names to its lineup – and one of them is FANGORIA fave Harvey Guillén, perhaps best known to this crowd from his work on What We Do in the Shadows.

Says Deadline:

“Lukas Gage (You), Megan Suri (It Lives Inside) and Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows) have closed deals to join Jack Quaid in Companion, New Line’s sci-fi thriller from the team behind last fall’s horror smash Barbarian, which Drew Hancock will direct from his own original script, in his feature debut.”

Hancock’s film, which is being produced by Cregger, Vertigo’s Roy Lee, BoulderLight’s Raphael Margules and J.D. Lifshitz, alongside Miri Yoon, has been keeping its cards fairly close to the vest, but we imagine that’ll change sooner rather than later.

We are, of course, very excited about both Weapons and Companion, and are eager to see who else gets drawn into the casting web on both films (we’re also desperate to learn more about Weapons, which may be one of the more secretive projects going in Hollywood right now). Stay tuned for further updates on both films as they roll in, folks!
