Bryce McGuire’s Night Swim hit theaters earlier this month (and went on to generate $36M at the box office), but maybe you weren’t able to make it down to your local multiplex for a screening. Maybe you’re still interested in seeing Night Swim, but would prefer to do so from the comfort of your own home. Maybe you already know where we’re going with this, because you read the headline.
Yes, Night Swim, produced by James Wan and starring no less than Wyatt Russell and Kerry Condon, will be available to rent or own on digital as of tomorrow, January 23rd. If you’ve been holding out on catching McGuire’s film until you could watch it from the safety of your couch (and, presumably, as far away from a swimming pool as possible), tomorrow’s your lucky day.
For those who missed Night Swim‘s entire marketing campaign, here’s what it’s about:
Based on the acclaimed 2014 short film by Rod Blackhurst and Bryce McGuire, the film stars Wyatt Russell (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) as Ray Waller, a former major league baseball player forced into early retirement by a degenerative illness, who moves into a new home with his concerned wife Eve (Oscarย nominee Kerry Condon,ย The Banshees of Inisherin), teenage daughter Izzy (Amรฉlie Hoeferle, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) and young son Elliot (Gavin Warren,ย Fear the Walking Dead).ย
Secretly hoping, against the odds, to return to pro ball, Ray persuades Eve that the new homeโs shimmering backyard swimming pool will be fun for the kids and provide physical therapy for him. But a dark secret in the homeโs past will unleash a malevolent force that will drag the family under, into the depths of inescapable terror.ย
Oh and, what the hell, let’s give the trailer another look while we’re at it:

Nothing further to report on Night Swim at this time, but rest assured we’ll keep you informed should any updates roll in. Stay tuned for those, folks.
