Get ready to meet sweet little Abigail – a “brash, blood-thirsty new vision of the vampire flick” from Radio Silence aka Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Ready or Not, Scream and last yearโs Scream VI). Radio Silence’s mysterious untitled monster thriller finally has a title, and a trailer! After much speculation on what this might be about, we are finally getting some answers today.
Starring Scream queen Melissa Barrera, Dan Stevens (Gaslit, Legion), Kathryn Newton (Freaky), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad, the upcoming Maxxxine), William Catlett (Black Lightning, True Story), Kevin Durand (Resident Evil: Retribution), Angus Cloud (Euphoria), and Alisha Weir (Roald Dahlโs Matilda the Musical, Darklands) as the titular Abigail, an official plot synopsis reads:
After a group of would-be criminals kidnap the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure, all they have to do to collect a $50 million ransom is watch the girl overnight. In an isolated mansion, the captors start to dwindle, one by one, and they discover, to their mounting horror, that theyโre locked inside with no normal little girl.ย
Written by Stephen Shields and Guy Busick, Abigail looks set to be another Radio Silence smash hit. A Ready or Not style mansion, excellent cast, and bloodthirsty ballerina…what’s not to love?!
Abigail hits theaters on April 19 – check out the trailer and brand new poster below!
