Shudder and AMC Networks kicked off this year’s FearFest by extending it into September, as the elder gods intended. A massive programming event featuring over 700 hours (!!!) of killer horror content, including brand-new movies, returning faves, and more than a few classics. October has some killer titles being added to the mix, and we bring you the following PSA: Do not, I repeat, do not sleep on Demián Rugna’s When Evil Lurks. Fresh out of Fantastic Fest and Beyond Fest, the Terrified director’s latest feature is gorgeously dark, ominous, original, and dreadful in all the ways he excels at. Other highlights hitting Shudder in October include new seasons of fan favorites The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula Season 5, and Creepshow Season 4. If you’re looking for your found footage fix, you’re in luck with the return of two long-standing series. The Hell House LLC saga continues by taking us back to the beginning with Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor and the popular V/H/S series is taking it back to the ’80s with what many fans are calling the best entry in the franchise, V/H/S/85. Joe Bob and Darcy return for two The Last Drive-In specials ahead of their new, expanded season, and a hefty helping of classic favorites hit the platform this month as well.
