According to a new report from our friends over at Bloody Disgusting, the Philippou Brothers’ Talk to Me will hit 4K, Blu-ray and digital in early October, just in time for it to headline your Halloween horror movie marathon (yes, you can pair it with A24’s forthcoming replica of Talk to Me‘s instantly iconic severed hand for maximum Halloween points).
For anyone just joining the Talk to Me party, the film – made in the Philippou Brothers’ home country of Australia – revolves around a group of teenagers who come into possession of a ceramic-encased severed hand. Gripping that hand allows them to commune with the dead, and … well, as is usually the case when communing with the dead, things go off the rails fairly quickly. It’s one of the year’s best, most intense horror films, and if you haven’t already seen it we’d recommend hitting a theater and doing that with a crowd while you still can. Talk to Me will be great at home, no doubt, but it’s one helluva audience movie.
The 4K/Blu-ray/Digital edition of Talk to Me (along with an Amazon Exclusive Edition, which features alternate artwork) will arrive on October 3rd. Save the date, clear some space on your horror shelf, and stay tuned for more on the Philippou Brothers, Talk to Me (and its forthcoming sequel) as further updates roll in, folks!
