Today brings us the very first trailer for Brandon Slagle’s The Flood, a “killer gator” movie starring Casper Van Dien, Nicky Whelan, and Louis Mandylor. From the looks of the trailer below, Slagle’s film seems to be tapping into the energy of both 1997’s Con-Air and 2019’s Crawl. An intriguing combination, no?
Please enjoy this official plot synopsis, which is light on words but says everything it probably needs to say:
“A horde of giant hungry alligators is unleashed on a group of in-transit prisoners and their guards after a massive hurricane floods Louisiana.”
Listen, we’re never gonna turn our noses up at any creature feature involving a bunch of hardened cons doing battle with a number of hurricane-frenzied alligators in a jail. I mean, how often does that opportunity even come along? Not very!
