Well, folks, today’s the day: after months of anticipation, increasingly cool-looking trailers, and awesome gameplay reveals, Gun Interactive’s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre game is available to purchase. Why on earth are you reading things on the internet when you could be slashing your nearest and dearest friends to bloody ribbons with Leatherface’s (digital) ‘saw? What are we doing writing things on the internet when we could be doing the same?

This, FANGORIA readers, is the launch day trailer for Gun Interactive’s The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, an asymmetrical horror game that pits players against one another in a manner that would make Tobe Hooper proud: each round features four “victims” attempting to escape the clutches of three Slaughter Family members (including the Cook, the Hitchhiker, and Leatherface himself). Environments from Hooper’s 1974 horror classic have been recreated in exhaustive detail by the folks at Gun, from the Slaughter homestead to a certain gas station you wouldn’t want to eat at. As you can see above, it looks like an absolute blast to play.

Where can you play it? Just about everywhere! As of today, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and via the Xbox Game Pass. That should cover … just about everyone, yeah? (Sorry to anyone who was holding out for a Sega Genesis release; maybe they’ll port it over later.)

Here at FANGORIA, the team is currently making plans to hop into The Texas Chain Saw Massacre game together just as soon as everyone’s available. What else would we be doing with our weekend?

Stay tuned for more on The Texas Chain Saw Massacre game as further updates become available.
