Are you in the Eastern PA area? Are you a fan of the 1987 vampire classic The Lost Boys? If you’re reading this, you obviously are, so get this event in your diary stat. Sunday, 29 October marks the 2023 season finale for Exhumed Films and the Mahoning Drive-In Theater, and to celebrate, they’re presenting The Lost Boys in 35mm on the giant drive-in screen with a post-show bonfire and performance by shirtless sax superstar Timmy Cappello!
The Lost Boys is a fitting end to a season of amazing events from Exhumed Films and the Mahoning Drive-In Theater, having bought genre fans the John Waters Filthy Film Festival and Godzilla-Palooza earlier on in the year.
Haven’t seen The Lost Boys yet? Well, now’s your perfect chance. Starring Corey Haim, Kiefer Sutherland, Corey Feldman, Jason Patric, Jami Gertz, Dianne Wiest, Alex Winter, and Jamison Newlander, Joel Schumacher’s cult classic is one of the 80s most beloved exports:
Youโll still believe when a family moves to a sleepy California seaside town, only to find the local biker gang harbors a dark secret..and a hunger for blood! ย Jason Patric is lured into this tantalizingly treacherous world by the lovely Jami Gertz, and soon becomes a reluctant member of this sanguinary society, led by Keifer Sutherland and Alex Winter, with only little brother Corey Haim and the local comic shopโs pubescent proprietors The Frog Brothers (Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander) to battle the fang-faced ferocity of THE LOST BOYS!
Alongside The Lost Boys, as always, a collection of old school movie trailers, this time with the theme of 80s vampire classics. Cappello will also be meeting fans, signing autographs and appearing for photos before showtime and after his 45 minute post-film performance. Plus – themed food, DJ sets, raffles and more!
Tickets for the event are more than half way sold out, so do not delay – head on over to the official Mahoning Drive-In site for more information and to grab your tickets (noodles not included)
