A few months back, we got our hands on John Campopiano and Christopher Griffiths’ Pennywise: The Story of IT, which offers a in-depnth oral history on the making of 1990’s IT miniseries (y’know, the one that traumatized every person who know who is currently over the age of 40?), and boy did we have a grand old time watching it. Plentiful archival footage, interviews with virtually everyone associated with the project, excellent stories from the set – what more could you want from an IT doc?

Well, if you’re a Stephen King fan based in the UK, you could probably use the following update on Campopiano and Griffiths’ film: Pennywise: The Story of IT has officially secured distribution in your country!

Here’s a trailer, just in case you haven’t seen it yet:

Trust me: if you’re a Stephen King mega-nerd of a certain age, or if you’re just obsessed with director Tommy Lee Wallace’s miniseries, you owe it to yourself to seek this one out. It’s a helluva lot of fun!

And here’s s’more good news: Pennywise: The Story of IT will be along before you know it. According to Deadline, Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment will release Campopiano and Griffiths’ doc digitally on October 3rd, followed by a DVD and Blu-ray release on October 24th. Just in time for your Halloween movie marathons! Huzzah!

Oh, and PS: if you’d like to hear more from some of the IT miniseries’ cast members on the making of that miniseries or the making of the doc, give this recent episode of THE KINGCAST a whirl!
