Raging Grace is writer/director Paris Zarcilla’s version of gracefully raging against the machine and the systems in place, framed against a traditional haunted house tale. Zarcilla joins us to discuss diaspora, adding nuance to unwieldy rage and using art as a cathartic outlet to release deeply corrosive feelings. “The haunted house and things that come out of it felt like the perfect symbol to hold a lot of things I was trying to confront,” Zarcilla shares. We also discuss the concept of the “good immigrant” and infusing comedy into the next installment of his Rage trilogy. Watch our full interview below.
