We’re just a few weeks away from the release of Blood Relatives, the vampire-road-trip-horror-comedy that took Fantastic Fest by storm back in September. The film, which marks the directorial debut of actor Noah Segan (Looper, Knives Out) is a helluva lot of fun, and breathes new life into the vampire genre even as it juggles bloody kills and sharply-written gags. Really, we can’t wait for you to see it…
…and now, thanks to the folks at Shudder and the Alamo Drafthouse, you’re gonna have a chance to see it early, in theaters, with a live Q&A featuring Segan himself! Take it away, press release:
“Shudder, AMC Networksโ premium streaming service for horror, thrillers and the supernatural, and Alamo Drafthouse are partnering for a weeklong U.S. theatrical run of the Shudder Original Blood Relatives. Beginning on Tuesday, November 15, the quirky yet heartfelt vampire tale will screen at their Downtown Los Angeles location, followed by screenings in San Francisco, Austin, Denver, New York and Washington, D.C.
But, wait! There’s more:
After each screening, there will be a Q&A with writer, director and star Noah Segan. Comedian, podcaster and actor/producer Dough Benson will be moderating the Q&A at Downtown Los Angeles, CA, while filmmaker, actor and entertainer Peaches Christ will be moderating the Q&A at New Mission, San Francisco, CA. Additional moderators to be announced at a later date.”
Here’s a specific list of the locations and dates where you can acquire tickets (via the official Drafthouse website) to catch Blood Relatives in theaters with director, writer and star Noah Segan in attendance:

And what’s that? You haven’t seen the Blood Relatives trailer yet? Let’s fix that:
Just to reiterate the point up top: Blood Relatives is a blast, but it also feels like a singular piece of work. A lot of that has to do with the personal elements Segan brings to the table (his character’s Judaism, his complicated feelings regarding fatherhood), all of which conspire to create a film that truly feels like it could only have been made by this particular guy. It’s also funny and scary and heartfelt in equal measure – all the things you’d want it to be, in other words.
Head on over to the Drafthouse website if you live near one of the theaters listed above and buy those tickets with confidence, gang. This is one you’ll be glad you caught with an audience!
