Midsummer Scream is upon us, celebrating Halloween in July. The three-day convention takes place in Southern California’s Long Beach Convention Center and will feature a Screaming Room showing off some killer independent horror movies, the Black Cat Lounge, where you can hang with some furry felines, panels, haunt attraction previews, and a roster of amazing guests. This year The Boulet Brothers will be in attendance, hosting a panel with some beloved drag monsters, including Victoria Elizabeth Black and Landon Cider.
FANGORIA Chainsaw Awards co-hosts Peaches Christ and David Dastmalchian will also be in attendance, Count Crowley fans can catch a glimpse of the brand-new silicone masks based on Dastmalchian’s comic creation, Vamp will fittingly host a panel with some Lost Boys, and you can also catch Dead Meat and previews of what So Cal’s biggest haunts have in store this season with Universal Halloween Horror Nights Creative Director John Murdy, and a Knott’s Scary Farm panel.
There will also be hundreds of vendors to shop from and live entertainment across multiple stages. Don’t pass up the Hall of Shadows: a massive hall filled with haunted walk-throughs and displays set up just for the weekend, showcasing the talents of SoCal’s best pro and home haunters.
Jigsaw will be joining in on the fun with a Saw X immersive experience, as well as The Boogeyman immersive experience inviting fans to avoid the terrifying supernatural entity and escape with their lives. Additionally, the first 50 brave attendees per day, will receive a limited-edition The Boogeyman poster.
Midsummer Scream is happening July 28-30 at the Long Beach Convention Center. Visit the official Midsummer Scream page for schedule details and tickets.
