The infamous party game leads to a night you’ll never forget in upcoming supernatural horror Spin the Bottle, with Deadline revealing today that Justin Long (Barbarian) and Ali Larter (Final Destination 2) have been added to an already impressive cast.
From what we know (and can guess by the title), Spin the Bottle looks set to be a rip-roaring teen terror as, according to Deadline, the film “…centers on a group of teenagers in small town Texas who unleash a deadly force after playing the famed party game Spin the Bottle in an abandoned house where a grisly massacre once took place.”
Oh teens. Will you ever learn? If you’re going to make out, do it AWAY from summer camps, parked cars, forests and now abandoned houses in Texas.
Spin the Bottle was written by John Cregan (Plague Town) and will be directed by Gavin Wiesen (The Art of Getting By). Spin the Bottle will be Wiesen’s first foray into the horror genre, but it’s a new challenge the director has been wanting to take on for some time.
Long and Larter join a cast which includes leads Tanner Stine (Impulse) and Kaylee Bryant (Legacies), and is rounded out by Christopher Ammanuel (Black Lightning), Ryan Whitney (Reagan), Angela Halili (American Horror Stories), Samantha Cormier (Legion), Hal Cumpston (The Walking Dead: World Beyond) and Tony Amendola (Annabelle).
The addition of Justin Long will definitely be an exciting announcement for horror fans. Just shortly after the announcement that we’re getting a Tusk sequel, Spin the Bottle will be another horror movie addition to the actor’s impressive roster alongside Jeepers Creepers, Drag Me To Hell, Barbarian and the upcoming Twitter horror Dear David.
The recently wrapped film does not yet have a release date, but Spin the Bottle already sounds like it’ll be a hit for the warmer months. After all, nothing says sticky summer party like a slaughter!
