It’s time to crank up the volume again as the cephalopods known to humans as SQUID PISSER are back with a new music video from their album My Tadpole Legion. “Marching For Trash,” originally a song by The Crucifucks, features Arrow De Wilde of Starcrawler and brings her voice to the track and thrashes around in a nod to Andrzej Żuławski’s 1981 cult classic Possession in the music video directed by Gilbert Trejo. Yeah, you read that right, Possession.

Squid Pisser’s Tommy Meehan shared, “Throwing a The Crucifucks cover onto our debut album felt right for several reasons. I wanted My Tadpole Legion to reflect the myriad of influences that Seth and I had been inspired by over the years to kind of initially introduce the band. We also wanted to keep audiences guessing as to what we might sound like without any guest vocalists or musicians… The album is largely an experiment in collaboration and we were aiming to keep people on their toes with what to expect from us.

Having Arrow De Wilde spew her snottiest takes onto this track really sent the overall vibe into the grimiest of spheres…

When our friend Gilbert Trejo said he wanted to do a music video for the track we decided it should be more streamlined, punk rock, and gritty than some of our other (more polished and more involved) videos…

The whole Possession nod with Arrow spazzing out in the tunnel is another homage to some amazing art that came before us. We’re often excited to hodge podge and throw hats on top of hats. This video is a good example of that.”

Now kick back and get ready to have your ears destroyed by glitched-out squid core.
