Exciting news this morning, via the our friends over at Bloody Disgusting: Stephen King will lend his voice to the audiobook version of Stephen Graham Jones’ forthcoming The Angel of Indian Lake, the third and final novel in Jones’ Indian Lake trilogy. But that’s not all – the Master of Horror will be joined by a number of other exciting guest stars.

Says Bloody Disgusting:

King joins Jones himself for the audiobook, alongside Isabella Star LaBlanc (Pet Sematary: Bloodlines), Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator, Suitable Flesh), Angela Goethals (Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon), and Andrew J. Robinson (Hellraiser).

That’s right: The Angel of Indian Lake audiobook will feature at least half a dozen different voices, from King to FANGORIA fave Barbara Crampton to Hellraiser‘s Andrew J. Robinson. Whether they’re all narrating different chapters or giving voice to various characters remains unrevealed by BD’s report, but we’re damn curious to find out how it’ll all fit together.

As mentioned above, The Angel of Indian Lake is the third novel in Jones’ Indian Lake trilogy, which began with 2021’s My Heart is a Chainsaw and continued in last year’s Don’t Fear the Reaper. If you’re unfamiliar with this series, consider this a full-throated recommendation: FANGORIA fans will find a lot to love in the series’ lead character, the slasher-obsessed Jade Daniels, as well as in the nightmarish and violent happenings in and around her town of Proofrock.

This time around…

“After โ€œtaking the fallโ€ by protecting her friend Letha and her family from incrimination, and spending the past four years in prison, Jade Daniels returns to her hometown of Proofrock, Idaho. Since then, her reputation, and the town, have changed dramatically.

Thereโ€™s a lot of unfinished business in Proofrock, from serial killer cultists, to the rich trying to buy Western authenticity. But thereโ€™s one aspect of Proofrock no one wants to confront. That is, until Jade comes back to town. The curse of the Lake Witch is waiting, and now is the time for the final stand.”

Stephen Graham Jones’ The Angel of Indian Lake (both the novel and audiobook versions) will be available for purchase wherever you enjoy acquiring such things on March 26th. Stay tuned for more on Jones’ work as further updates roll in, folks.
