Hyped about the arrival of Terrifier 3 later this year, but craving even more bloody mayhem from the same creative team? You’re in luck: this August, Stream – a new film starring a slew of horror luminaries and sporting much of the same team behind the Terrifier franchise – will hit theaters!
Says Deadline, who broke the story:
“Horror film Stream, from the producers of the breakoutย Terrifier franchise, has secured an August 21 U.S., Canada and Mexico theatrical release via Iconic Events Releasing.
The production reunited almost the entireย Terrifier 2ย crew, from the production assistants to producer Phil Falcone, composer Paul Wiley and special effects whizz and producer, Damien Leone. The filmโs director Michael Leavy was a producer, actor and AD on theย Terrifier sequel.”
That’s right, Damien Leone (the mastermind at the helm of each Terrifier) is handling the special FX for this one. Knowing that, it’s probably safe to assume that Stream is gonna be gnarly as hell.
But, wait, there’s more! Stream‘s cast includes Jeffrey Combs (Re-Animator), Danielle Harris (Halloween 4, 5), Tony Todd (Candyman), Tim Reid (IT), Dee Wallace (E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial) and David Howard Thornton (Terrifier). How’s that for a murderer’s row?
Here’s an official plot synopsis:
โAs the Keenanโs try to bring their family closer together, they unwittingly enter themselves into a game of life or death. With four deranged killers patrolling the halls of their hotel and competing for the most creative kills, the odds are definitely stacked against them.โ
Says director Leavy:
โWe are beyond thrilled to partner with Iconic Events Releasing again, but this time to bring an all new and modern horror film to the big screen!ย Streamย is set to hit theaters across the country on August 21st. We built a very good relationship with Iconic throughย Terrifier 2ย and now with the upcomingย Terrifier 3, so we are honored to keep this train rolling and continue to deliver fun and exciting horror movies to our incredible fanbase and beyond.โ
We’re excited to see what this crew has cooked up with Stream, and will be keeping our ear to the ground for further updates on this one in between now and its August 21st arrival in theaters. Stay tuned for those, as they roll in.
