Tarot is heading to theaters May 3rd, but we have a sneak peek at some exclusive character posters ahead of release. This one revolves around a group of teenagers who get in over their heads when they mess around with the wrong deck of Tarot cards … which leads to a number of gruesome consequences.
Here’s the official synopsis:
When a group of friends recklessly violates the sacred rule of Tarot readings – never use someone else’s deck – they unknowingly unleash an unspeakable evil trapped within the cursed cards. One by one, they come face to face with fate and end up in a race against death to escape the future foretold in their readings.
Bring on the cursed deck of Tarot cards (and the various evil spirits that manifest their way out of it). Speaking of those cursed spirits, let’s take a look at a few of them below.
Okay, who do you want to face off against first? We’ll go head-to-head with The Fool in hopes of outsmarting him. But maybe I’m the fool for assuming I can outwit this guy. Truth be told, I wouldn’t want any of these gruesome characters chasing me down a dark hallway. But we’ll happily watch these teens try to outsmart and outrun the cursed cards from the safety of our theater seats.
Tarot stars Harriet Slater, Adain Bradley, Avantika, Wolfgang Novogratz, Humberly González, Larsen Thompson and Reginald the Vampire‘s Jacob Batalon. The Tarot crew recently played a prank on theater-goers as their movie posters, shall we say… came to life. You know we can’t resist a good scare, take a peek below.
