It may still be April but Christmas has come early over at Bloody Disgusting, with today’s reveal that Daniel Roebuck (The Devil’s Rejects, Halloween) has joined the cast of Terrifier 3 in a very exciting role – the big man, Santa Claus himself.
The slasher sequel from writer/director Damien Leone hits theaters on October 25, via Cineverse, Bloody Disgusting and Iconic Events Releasing. Joining Roebuck in the cast are returning stars FANGORIA Chainsaw Award-winning final girl Lauren LaVera, David Howard Thornton as Art the Clown, Samantha Scaffidi, Elliot Fullam, and AEW’s Chris Jericho. The sequel to 2022’s Terrifier 2 sees Art “unleash chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles Count as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.”
Talking with Bloody, Roebuck expressed his excitement to be donning the red hat and black boots (for the second time this year, actually – he recently played Santa in Saint Nick of Bethlehem, which looks far more family-friendly than his turn in Terrifier 3 is bound to be):
“I’ve been holding this secret for a long time![…] I’ve been really excited about it. I’m actually entering into the movies that I watch. It’s extraordinary. This is Terrifier bigger, badder, best.”
Given that Terrifier 2 racked up a huge $15million at the box office against its budget of $250,000, and that Terrifier 3 is confirmed to have a much bigger budget, we can be almost certain that Roebuck isn’t exaggerating here.
