This morning, Netflix released the full trailer for Henry Selick’s forthcoming stop-motion horror-comedy, Wendell & Wild, and you will not be surprised to learn that it is eyeball-meltingly beautiful. It also looks like a rollicking good time.

See if you don’t agree…

Co-written by Selick and Peele, Wendell & Wild tells the story of two “scheming demon brothers Wendell (Keegan-Michael Key) and Wild (Jordan Peele) โ€“ who enlist the aid of 13-year-old Kat Elliot โ€“ a tough teen with a load of guilt โ€“ to summon them to the Land of the Living. But what Kat demands in return leads to a brilliantly bizarre and comedic adventure like no other, an animated fantasy that defies the law of life and death, all told through the handmade artistry of stop motion.โ€

If you’re thinking, “Damn, I wish I could see Selick’s latest on the big screen instead of in my living room,” there’s good news: Wendell & Wild will hit select theaters one week before its Netflix debut, on October 21st, so if that sounds like something you’d enjoy, you might wanna go check your local listings. October 21stt will be here before you know it!

Stay tuned for more on Wendell & Wild as further updates become available. We’re excited to check this one out!
