THE LEECH (2022)

In the grand tradition (and by tradition, we mean two this year, including Chucky’s Devon Sawa) of Fango friends turning to the cloth, we bring you Graham Skipper as Father David. Writer/director Eric Pennycoff (Sadistic Intentions) brings us a new holiday horror with a cautionary tale about the perils of opening your door to a stranger.

The Leech follows Father David as he struggles to grow his congregation. In his quest, he encounters a stranger by the name of Terry (Jeremy Gardner,ย Bliss, Offseason) asleep one morning after Mass. After a fight with his girlfriend Lexi (Taylor Gardner,ย Sadistic Intentions) and with no place to go, of course, Father David offers Terry a place to stay for the night. This simple act of kindness gets complicated when Lexi arrives with news of eviction โ€” and now kindly Father David’s got two impromptu houseguests.

Father David extends the offer through the holidays with one condition โ€” Terry and Lexi have to open themselves to the healing power of Godโ€™s love. The harder David tries to reform the lives of these seemingly innocent strangers, the more he himself falls victim to their toxic ways, leading to the belief that their arrival is in fact, a test from God. Will David pass the test and accept his new houseguests as they are? Or will he set aside the ways of Christ and resort to blood-soaked, Old Testament justice? Take a look at the official trailer below.
