This Friday, filmmaker Jenn Wexler will premiere The Sacrifice Game at the Fantasia Film Festival. A ’70s-set holiday horror that brings together the home invasion and gothic supernatural fantasy genres, The Sacrifice Game is one of our most anticipated movies of 2023, and today we are thrilled to be debuting the film’s poster (designed by Chris Barnes / BRUTAL Posters)!
Let’s take a look…
Here’s an official plot synopsis:
“It’s bad enough that boarding school students Samantha and Clara can’t go home for the holidays, but things take a deadly turn when a gang of cult killers arrives on their doorstepโjust in time for Christmas.”
The Sacrifice Game stars Mena Massoud (Aladdin), Olivia Scott Welch (The Fear Street Trilogy), Gus Kenworthy (American Horror Story), Chloรซ Levine (The Ranger), Madison Baines, Derek Johns (The Boys), Laurent Pitre and Georgia Acken, all of whom will be working from a script co-written by Wexler and Sean Redlitz. It will premiere this Friday, July 28th, at 9:30PM at the Fantasia Film Festival, and will hold its international premiere at FrightFest next month. Can’t make either of those screenings? Don’t worry – The Sacrifice Game will be hitting Shudder later this year!
Stay tuned for more on The Sacrifice Game as further updates become available, and do let us know what you think if you catch it at Fantasia or FrightFest! We’re excited for this one!
