A brand-new trailer for the fifth season of FX’s beloved horror-comedy What We Do in the Shadows just made its way online, and it looks like everybody’s got something to do: Guillermo’s paying his way into vampirehood (with, er, questionable success), energy vampire Colin is running for a comptroller position (perfect pairing, in our opinion), Nandor’s tossing around photos of Ryan Seacrest (also with questionable success), Laszlo’s learning the intricacies of a shopping mall, and Nadia appears to be speed-dating.

When What We Do in the Shadows launched back in 2019, it was a big question mark: could this TV series, even with the involvement of the creative team that inspired it, possibly deliver in the same way? It’s wild to even think about now, isn’t it? Five seasons in, and the TV version of What We Do in the Shadows seems to have completely eclipsed Taika Waititi’s feature film on the pop culture landscape. It’s rare to see something like that pulled off! What a gift this show is.
As before, What We Do in the Shadows will feature the comedic stylings of Matt Berry, Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou, Mark Proksch, and the great Harvey Guillรฉn. Waititi and frequent collaborator Jemaine Clement remain executive producers, and – as has been the case in the past – each episode of the show will hit Hulu the day after airing on FX.
