Fans of The X-Files will now have a place to go and check out a collection of screen-used props, wardrobe and set dressings, and many iconic pieces from the franchise; including some donated by the series creator himself, Chris Carter. The owners of the collection, Jim and Kelly, have been working on this for years and have made it their mission to preserve the history of The X-Files and celebrate the work of the filmmakers, SFX creators, and actors.
X-Philes should get excited if they can make it to the grand opening as Chris Carter is scheduled to be at the opening event on April 30th. Put an X on your window, get in a nice sensible sedan the FBI would approve of, and head over to Saratoga Springs, NY to check out this one-of-a-kind collection.
The X-Files Preservation Collection and Collectibles is located at 4284 Route 50, Saratoga Springs, NY. The ceremony will include a ribbon-cutting and a very limited VIP package for die-hard fans on opening day.
VIP Tickets are available now and will include:
- Tour of the showroom with owners Jim and Kelly
- The X-Files Preservation Collection poster signed by Chris Carter
- Screening of โPilotโ the pilot episode of The X-Files
- Dinner and Q&A session with Chris Carter
