Our pals over at On Set Cinema are celebrating heavy metal horror with their final screening announcement for 2024. They’re bringing the 1986 cult classic Trick Or Treat to the hallowed halls of UNC Wilmington (aka Lakeridge High School) in Wilmington, North Carolina this fall.
On Set Cinema is on a mission to bring horror fans screenings of their favorite horror movies in the actual locations where those movies were filmed. Previously announced events include Urban Legend at Pendleton University, and The Burning at Stonehaven Nature Preserve (aka Camp Blackfoot).
This time, On Set Cinema is extending the Halloween season by throwing the ultimate Rock ‘N Roll Halloween party. Trick Or Treat will be screened inside the gym where Sammi Curr rises from the dead and plays his very last concert. This is the actual gymnasium featured in the movie where the epic “Lakeridge High Halloween Dance” takes place. You know the scene… Sammi puts on a killer show and destroys a bunch of party-goers, his drummer, and even Humpty Dumpty with his heavy metal lightning guitar power.
The gymnasium will be decorated for Halloween (for a truly immersive experience) and theTrick Or Treat soundtrack and 80s heavy metal music will be pumping through the speakers before the movie.

A bullied teenage boy is devastated after the death of his heavy metal idol, Sammi Curr. But as Halloween night approaches, he discovers that he may be the only one who can stop Sammi from making a Satanic comeback from beyond the grave.
