Despite hitting theaters just a month ago, Paramount Pictures is bringing this summer’s smash hit A Quiet Place: Day One home this week. Indeed, the prequel to the ever-evolving horror franchise will be available on Digital beginning Tuesday, July 30. This means that viewers will be able to rent or purchase the film from a variety of digital retailers such as Apple TV, Google Play, Prime Video and Fandango at Home, among others.
Fear not, physical media lovers! Those who wish to pick up a copy of the film will have the chance to do so in a couple of months. A Quiet Place: Day One will arrive on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, October 8. The good news is that a physical copy is coming, the bad news is that it’s going to take some patience. Directed by Michael Sarnoski (Pig), the prequel takes place on the first day of the alien invasion witnessed in the first two Quiet Place films. The big hook here is that we’re following totally new characters in New York City, with Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong’O (Us) leading the way, alongside Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things).
For those who do exercise the patience and wait for the Blu-ray, Paramount has included some bonus features on the disk. While there appears to be no commentary track, there are several featurettes and some extra scenes.

Deleted and Extended Scenes
The film was a big hit both critically and commercially. It was met with very good reviews from critics and audiences alike, taking in more than $250 million at the global box office. That makes the Quiet Place films three for three so far. Beyond the big screen, we have a video game on the way in the form of A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead. Paramount seems interested in keeping this train on the tracks for quite some time.
