On Set Cinema is heading to Pendleton University, and you’re all invited! That’s Pendleton University…aka the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada where 1998’s Urban Legend was filmed. The festivities are happening Friday, November 15.
The screening will be held inside the historic Junior Common Room, which is the actual college hang-out room featured in the movie. Built in the 1920s, this space was used extensively throughout the film. You’ll likely recognize it as the location where we’re first introduced to the majority of the cast, including Parker (Michael Rosenbaum), Paul (Jared Leto), Natalie (Alicia Witt), and Brenda (Rebecca Gayheart).
The whole gang hangs out sipping on coffee as Parker tells the story of the Stanley Hall Massacre. This is also where the group congregates following the deaths of Michelle and Damon and the pivotal scene where Natalie realizes someone is taking urban legends and turning them into reality.
โOk, listen up guys, cause this is how the story really goes…โ Check out more details from the press release:
This is going to be such a unique and memorable experience โ the room still looks almost exactly like it did over 25 years ago. The Urban Legend soundtrack will be playing, Diabolos Coffee Bar featured in the movie will be open serving drinks and everyone attending will get a pack of Pop Rocks and a Pepsi to see if your insides will explode when putting them together. There will also be a filming locations walking tour around campus to check out where a bunch of other scenes were shot in the movie!
Get your parka and your ax ready, and we’ll see you at the University of Toronto Friday, November 15. Find all the event details on the official On Set Cinema site, and get your tickets right here.
