WE ARE ZOMBIES horror comedy SCREAMBOX

RKSS, the filmmakers behind Turbo Kid and Summer of ’84 are back with a fresh take on the undead. The Canadian filmmaking collective RKSS, composed of François Simard, Anouk Whissell, and Yoann-Karl Whissell, wrote and directed the horror comedy based on the comic book series The Zombies That Ate the World. Their new SCREAMBOX original horror comedy We Are Zombies will be streaming everywhere August 13th, but we have an exclusive clip to share with you right here.

First, let’s set the stage with the official synopsis:

In a city infested with the living-impaired also known as non-cannibal zombies three slackers after easy money must fight small-time crooks and an evil megacorporation to save their kidnapped grandma.

Listen, non-cannibal zombies sound like a good time! Zombie good, evil megacorporation bad. Ok, roll the clip!

Holy moly! Zombie guts everywhere! We’ve got a bad feeling about these evil megacorporation overlords. After a successful festival run at Fantasia International Film Festival, Sitges Film Festival, and Fantastic Fest, RKSS says: “It is finally time we unleash We Are Zombies!” Adding, “We are thrilled, as horror fans and genre filmmakers, to be partnering up with the good folks at Bloody Disgusting and their streaming platform Screambox to bring it to your screens.”

Starring Alexandre Nachi (1991), Derek Johns (The Boys), Megan Peta Hill (Riverdale), Vincent Leclerc (The Revenant), Benz Antoine (Death Race), and Carlo Mestroni (Assassin’s Creed II), you can catch We Are Zombies streaming soon. Let’s have a closer look at some stills.

If this sneak peek clip and stills are any indication of what’s in store, we’re in for a gory good time. Intestines all out like some sort of sick zombie spaghetti. Disgusting. I’m into it.

We Are Zombies joins SCREAMBOX’s extensive library, including Terrifier 2, RoboDoc: The Creation of RoboCop, Onyx the Fortuitous and the Talisman of Souls, Hollywood Dreams & Nightmares: The Robert Englund Story, The Outwaters, Living with Chucky, Creepypasta, Frogman, and Pennywise: The Story of IT.
